Katarzyna Bojarska, born 1981. Graduated from English Studies and Cultural Studies at the Warsaw University, PhD candidate in the Graduate School for Social Research, assistant in the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. Fulbright alumnus (Cornell University, Ithaca NY). Writes on contemporary art and literature in the context of history/memory representation and trauma. Published numerous articles and translations in “Pamiętnik Literacki,” “Literatura na świecie,” “Kresy,” “Odra,” “Obieg,” among others. Translator of Dominick LaCapra's "History in Transit" (Universitas 2009).

 

 

Nikola Suica, born in Belgrade. BA and MA in History of Art, University of Belgrade; the first PhD on Visual Arts/ Photography and  Film Studies at University of Arts, Belgrade. Post: Art Historian, University of Arts, Belgrade.

2000/01: Editor, New Moment Magazine, SMS Saatchi & Saatchi, Ljubljana, as The Diary 2001 Issue: 'Expectations and other familiar mysteries'. Founding editor of ‘Likovni zivot’, Arts periodical, Zemun 1988.

From 1986 onwards: Numerous texts, essays, Arts exhibitions Catalogues, Film essays and arranging of Solo and Group Exhibitions. Texts and interviews, as well, as translations from English published in several periodical magazines, weeklies, arts, film and culture magazines, both from Belgrade - Serbia, Zagreb - Croatia  and Ljubljana - Slovenia, texts and several websites editing. Contributing to Radio Belgrade 2 and 3 programmes with interviews and essays and Radio B92. Screenwriting for Television Belgrade programmes on Arts and Culture.

Author of Exhibition Monography books on Arts: Reljic - published by  Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts 1996; 'Memorial Chamber' - group exhibition of Young Belgrade Artists - Gunpowder Storage, Belgrade 1997; Leon Koen, Yugoslavian gallery of Artworks, Belgrade 2001; Sculpture of Milun Vidic , ULUS 2003; Tom Phillips New Moment magazine issue, 2003; ‘Closed Circuits’, International group Exhibition Belgrade 2005 (along Artists from Serbia, featured were the works of Martha Rosler, Tom Phillips, Istvan Horkay, Peter Greenaway), etc.

Co-organiser of ‘Outside Project’ SACI Florence, in Belgrade 2002.


Jon Reitan is a historian and senior curator at the Falstad Memorial and Human Rights Centre. He is currently writing his PhD on the Holocaust and collective memory. Reitan has published within the fields of Holocaust, historical consciousness, memory and museology. He is a permanent member of the Norwegian delegati on to the Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust Education, Remembrance and Research.


Anna Baumgart, born in 1966, lives and works in Warsaw, Poland. She was educated at the Academy of Fine Arts, Department of Sculpture, Gdansk, in 1989-1994.

Video artist, sculptor, author of installations and video. Her work deals with cultural and social clichés as well as the role and position of contemporary artist. Recently she is interested in the impact of media at collective consciousness.

 

She has shown her work in solo exhibitions in galleries in Poland, Germany, Italy and Greece, and she has participated in group exhibitions in most countries in Europe and in the USA.

 

Her film "Fresh Cherries" produced for Falstad Kunst is the first presentation of her work in Norway.

 

Darko Stojkov, born in 1979, lives in Belgrade, Serbia. Finished Fine art Academy in Belgrade department of painting in 2005. Specialization on same academy finished in 2007. 2008 part of Serbian art society (ULUS). Founder of ART GROUP G&H.

 

Darko Stojkov works with both drawing, painting, photo, video and sculpture.

Solo exhibitions showing drawings and paintings in galleries in Serbia, Montenegro, Slovenia and Greece since 2005. Several group exhibitions, also showing film, video and photo work.

 

His video "Second Journey" produced for Falstad Kunst is the first presentation of his work in Norway.
